 |   I took another picture sitting on the summit cairn. Now I needed to get off the mountain.  I descended as fast as I could in the failing light,  and managed to make it to the meadows below the rock outcrops before I had to use my headlamp. In the scrubby trees and rocks, I couldn't see the crest above me, but I managed to ascend in just the right spot to hit the pass. Then it was just a jog down the trail to camp at 8pm, where Richard & Lynn had just started heading up to look for me. |
