Day 1: Approach. If time allows, do Tarheel or Beebe.
Day 2: Gabriel. If time allows do Elija. Otherwise do Beebe.
Day 3: Do Elija if not already done. Exit.
Route & Statistics
Approach
TH, US20 at SE side of County Line Creek, 2800.
Follow ridge crest SSW upward to Mebbe, 6570
Follow ridge crest WNW down to 6250, up past Point 6749, and make camp somewhere near wide contour at 6800.
4.4 miles, 4400 gain, 400 loss.
Bonus Summit: Tarheel 7200: From camp, continue uphill 400 feet, 0.35 miles from camp.
Total for Approach + Tarheel: 5.1 miles, 4800 gain
Gabriel: From camp, descend SW to the 5700 pass between Gabriel & Panther creeks.
Follow ridge upward, curving west to cross upper branch of creek circa 5900, bypass Point 7722 and reach 7600 col.
Follow crest to summit 7920.
One Way 2 miles, 2140 gain, 1080 loss. Round trip 4 miles, 3220 gain.
Elija: From camp, traverse west at 6800 past Tarheel and drop to 6350 col.
Then follow ridge west along crest to summit 7739, staying on south side where necessary.
One way 2.3 miles, 1900 gain, 700 loss. Round trip 4.6 miles, 2600 gain.
Total for Gabriel + Elihja: 8.6 miles, 5820 gain.
Bonus Summit: Bebbe
From camp, traverse at 6800 past Tarheel, then follow ridge crest north up to Point 7026, down to 6600, and up to Bebbe 7416.
One way 1.8 miles, 1000 gain, 400 loss. Round trip 3.6 miles, 1400 gain.
Exit
Retrace approach route up to Mebbe and down to highway. 4.4 miles, 400 gain, 4400 loss.
Total for Bebbe + Exit:
8.0 miles, 1800 gain.
Total Trip (including all bonuses): 21.7 miles, 12420 gain.
